The Timeline
Most Tiger Modular projects follow the same timeline: the manufacturing process takes four to six weeks in the workshop, followed by a week or less for installation on site.
Bigger projects, such as bespoke builds, annexes or anything requiring planning permission, will take longer. For these orders, we confirm the timeline with you when your design is signed off.
Before We Arrive
Once your order is placed via the online configurator or a phone consultation, our next step is to visit your property to carry out a full site survey. We measure the site space, check access for delivery, and confirm the position of your new building.
Design and order details can be refined as necessary, and once finalised, we create a 3D design document. Any site preparation you need to make, like clearing shrubs, moving fixtures or arranging services such as water supply, is agreed during the site visit.
Next, work starts at our Yorkshire workshop. Panels are precision-cut, insulated and assembled to your spec. Once they’re ready, we book the installation date with you.
Installation Days
Our team arrives on the agreed date with everything needed to install your garden room. The foundations go in first – most builds employ an adjustable structural pile system that screws into the ground. It’s quick to install and low impact. From there, we fit the floor cassettes.
Walls, roof, doors and windows follow. Because everything is pre-built, the on site assembly process is fast, quiet and clean. Most standard builds are finished in under a week, from laying foundations to dusting off the finishing touches.
We tidy as we go to ensure there is minimal inconvenience for you.
Handover And Aftercare
On the final day, we will walk you through your building. We show you how to control and set the heating; point out where the electrical consumer unit sits; demonstrate how doors and windows operate, and explain what’s covered by our guarantees. You will be given your completion certificate and guarantee documentation, then the keys are yours.
